Age restrictions on Ammunition Purchase/Possession? (Complex)

The Second Amendment Organization believes that the minimum purchase age for ammunition should match any established minimum purchase age for firearms in a given jurisdiction but that the possession by children should be an issue dealt with primarily by responsible parents and not controlled by the government, except in regard to cases of parental negligence, as otherwise defined by law.

 

Age limits on use of firearms? (Against)

The Second Amendment Organization believes that the supervised use of firearms by children should be an issue dealt with primarily by responsible parents and not controlled by the government, except in regard to cases of parental negligence, as otherwise defined by law.

 

Arming Teachers? (Against)

The Second Amendment Organization does not support the tasking of educators or school administrators with specific responsibility for Armed Security at schools or universities. However, we do advocated for the unrestricted Right to Carry at Work by anyone, including teachers, if they are legally able to do so in the jurisdiction of their employment.

 

Child Safety Lock Act? (Complex)

The Second Amendment Organization supports the provisions of the Child Safety Lock Act, as it places requirements on Federally licensed firearms dealers and not individual gun owners.

 

Laws Governing Firearms Storage with Children in the home? (Against)

The Second Amendment Organization does not support special sets of laws governing the storage of firearms in homes with children. The Second Amendment Organization is a proponent of all firearms owners meeting their responsibility to prevent unauthorized access at all times.

 

Gun Safety Education in Public Schools? (Supportive)

The Second Amendment Organization does support compulsory education in the gun safety in grammar school that includes firearms handling, operations and the consequences of firearms negligence in regard to use and storage.
